According to the South Florida Business Journal, the event will bring over 100,000 attendees and boost the South Florida economy by over $850 million. With over 1,000 exhibitors ranging from engine and parts manufacturers to some of the most prestigious yacht builders in the world, it is easy to see how the event is one of the most significant recreational boating events in the U.S.

Recently, the National Marine Manufacturers Association released the 2018 results for the recreational boating industry and forecast for 2019. The statistics are clear for Florida and the impact of this industry is deep within our economy. The 2018 results indicate that the recreational boating industry contributed an estimated $170.3 billion to the U.S. economy and supports 691,000 direct and indirect American jobs. The top state for boating activity ranks Florida in the number one spot at $23.3 billion, which far exceeds the number two spot, California with $13 billion.
